Frequently Asked Questions

Brooke Bailey Photography is a full-service boutique offering newborn, cake smash, children, family, senior pictures, engagement and bridal photography sessions in the Dallas Fort Worth area. We serve Tarrant county. Our in-home newborn studio is located in Fort Worth, TX 76123.

When is the best time to take my maternity pictures?

It varies for each woman, but usually around 30-35 weeks works well. You want to be large enough to where we can see your belly, but not too swollen to where you are uncomfortable or cannot move around easily.

When is the best time to take newborn pictures?

No later than 10 days after birth! The window of time to take newborn pictures is very limited. Their muscles get stronger by the day. In order to achieve those adorable, squishy poses, I recommend taking them during the first week of life.

What should I bring to a newborn session?

Diaper bag, bottle (if you are not breast feeding) and any unique props that we discussed bringing ahead of time. I have many props, but sometimes parents want to incorporate something special to them such as a particular sports team helmet, etc. We will cover all of this in your initial consultation.

Am I required to get my hair and make-up done?

Professional hair and make-up is only required for bridal sessions. However, it is strongly recommended for senior sessions, maternity sessions and engagement sessions as well.

Can I buy Save-the-Dates, Christmas cards or birth announcements through you?

Absolutely! We have gorgeous card textures, shapes and designs to choose from, including our signature foil-pressed cards.

What is your turn-around time?

It takes me 2-3 weeks to edit your images. After your images are ready, I will email you a link to an online gallery and put your print-released CD in the mail. Time it takes to receive artwork depends on the products ordered. Customized albums may take anywhere between 3-4 weeks, while prints usually only take 1-2 weeks after you place your order.

Do you photograph weddings?

Due to my current time and demand with other portrait services I offer, I am not taking weddings at this time.
